Evening Lutsk 1909
Canvas/oil, 50x70, 2015 The painting is based on an archival vintage photograph taken by a Polish photographer in 1909. This is what the main street of Lutska looked like. Then it was called after Emperor Nicholas II. In August 1909, electric lighting was installed and a city garden was laid. And the house from which this shot was taken was destroyed during the Second World War. In the picture, the word "hotel" is written with two letters "n". From the point of view of correct spelling, this is a mistake, but since the name "inn" was on the photo, I transferred this feature to my painting, although it is possible that at the beginning of the 20th century it was not a mistake ;) (see additional photo) Painting sold, author's performance to order is possible
