BIOGRAPHY
"Shupliak (née Cherkevych) Nina Dmitrivna was born in 1939 in the village of Rakhny Poleva, Tyvriv district, Vinnytsia region.
The craftswoman mastered the technique of painting on glass on her own. Nina Dmitrivna's creative work includes a significant number of paintings on canvas and glass. It should be noted that paintings on glass, along with icons, belong to the least preserved works of the "secondary ethno-artistic tradition". The works of the early period of creativity (1950s) tend to the genre of folk paintings in terms of subject matter and style. They are distinguished by a bright color, a combination of many shades of pure, rich colors. Most often, these are various bouquets of daisies, cornflowers, poppies, roses, bluebells, other field or garden flowers./.../N.D. Shupliak's creativity is a significant contribution to the development of Ukrainian glass painting of the second half of the 20th - early 21st centuries. Her painting work, as well as her teaching activities in the field of art education, deserve careful study.
From 1959 to today, he lives in the village of Bishche, Berezhansky District, Ternopil Oblast"
